“Since its first introduction and especially after being voted the Indian Car of the Year in 2017, the Vitara Brezza has built a loyal following. We are very excited about welcoming it to the South African family, where its combination of high specifications and generous interior space are sure to win over the hearts of our SUV-loving market,” says André Venter, divisional manager of sales and marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa.
The Suzuki Vitara Brezza is now available at any dealerships in South Africa in GL and GLX derivatives. It is India’s favourite compact SUV and has taken 11-percent of all SUV sales. The Brezza is shorter and wider than the flagship, the Vitara, and sits on 16-inch wheels. In terms of lighting, it has LED Daytime Running as well as automatic projector LED headlights. Suzuki designing is present as well in the inverted U-shaped grille and polycarbonate side mouldings.
Standard on all models is a smart 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, auxiliary input and a USB port as well as a voice command. In terms of advanced safety, there is ISOFIX child seat anchorage and Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) structure.
The Vitara Brezza’s K15B engine has multi-point fuel injection and four valves per cylinder for better fuel consumption and a smoother drive. It pushes out 77 kW of power and 138 Nm of torque that is distributed to the wheels via either a five-speed manual or a clever, new four-speed automatic transmission.
GLX derivatives benefit from silver interior highlights, push-button starter, a cooled glovebox, height adjustable front seatbelts, an auto-dimming rear mirror, auto-folding side mirrors, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, a 12V port in the luggage area and additional tweeters.
To seal the deal, you have the offer of a 4-year/60 000 km service plan and a 5-year or 200 000 km promotional mechanical warranty.
