Gorgeous and Tempting

So I have previously reviewed the Kia Seltos and absolutely loved it, so when I was given the opportunity to test the GT-Line I felt like jumping out of my chair, hand raised, while squeaking pick me! Pick me! Pick me! I obviously didn’t do that but what I did do was have a blast while testing it.

The Concept

Still a Seltos, I perceive this compact SUV is a terrific blend of the big KIA Sportage and KIA Soul hatchback, but now with the GT badge plastered onto the rear, it offers so much more and not only just in looks. It still houses their key characteristics of being an affordable family vehicle that is versatile and easy to command around town.

The Look

If you think that the Seltos is a beautiful vehicle you will be head of heels for the GT-Line. It’s absolutely gorgeous with angular bodylines, athletic roof rails and 17-inch wheels that give it a healthy little boost. The LED headlights have a unique striking design and KIA has put emphasis on the prominent crisscrossed grille to give the front an instantly recognizable fascia. To complete the stunning look of the vehicle, Kia has elevated the rear LED Combination lights.

The Feel

The interior emits comfort with leather upholstery, an electric sunroof and adaptable ambient lighting which you can adapt to your mood. To accommodate the family’s comfort, the Seltos also has a 433–litre boot and an air conditioning system with rear vents.

The Features

Jam to your favourite songs with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with six speakers. It is also fitted with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, two USB inputs, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless charging pad and Remote Start are fitted into the GT-Line to add to the tech. For additional comfort, there is also Smart Entry with Push Button Start functionality, cruise control and electrically powered front and rear windows. Advanced safety features include Data dot, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, rear parking assist sensors with a rear-view camera, and a reinforced vehicle shell.

The Drive

The drive of the vehicle is exactly what you would expect from a Seltos- smooth complicit handling while you get plenty of admirable glances on the streets. Fitted with a 1.4-litre turbo engine, the Seltos produces 103kW of power and 242Nm of torque. Exclusive to the GT-Line there is also a Drive Mode Select for the driver’s convenience.
