Dealer Principal Position 

My client within the motoring industry is looking for a dynamic Dealer Principal for one of their dealerships, based in Johannesburg.

This role will drive market penetration to achieve budget whilst overseeing all operating controls, financial drivers whilst enhancing all levels of customer satisfaction. Use your New and Used vehicle experience combined with your after sales focus to increase revenue in this key role.

Responsibilities
• Ensure the effective process of all types of car sales transactions;
• Increase the market penetration of the branch and increase revenue;
• Provide exemplary customer service and issue resolution;
• Participate in all areas of employee management;
• Understand cost control and achieve individual sales goals;
• Monitor prices and set rates for walk-ins;
• Uphold company standards and processes;
• Actively participate in the training, coaching, and mentoring of the Management Trainees, Rental Sales Agents, Return Agents and all other staff;
• Complete performance reviews on all employees and hold a meeting with the individual to discuss strengths and weakness;
• Organize and facilitate weekly staff meetings to keep employees motivated and informed of business operations;
• Handle or assist in the resolution of customer service issues if other staff members are unable to. Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of work experience in Fleet Management, sales and customer service
• Previous Management of a Branch in Car Dealership Industry
• Be able to meet targets every month – Target driven individual
• Must have good supervisory and strong communication skills
• Computer literate and Microsoft Office skills
• Staff control
• Exceptional interpersonal skills required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Sales Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

– Matric

– Billingual (English and Afrikaans)

– Minimum 5 years vehicle sales experience – proven track record

SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1*. MARKETING AND SALES: *
– Conclude deals by making use of appropriate qualifying, presenting, demonstrating and negotiating skills.
– Keep all existing and potential customers aware of new models, price changes and benefits offered by the Dealership.
– Achieve targets negotiated with the Sales Manager and report on progress towards such targets.

– Attend sales meetings.

2. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION/RETENTION:
– Ensure that pre-delivery inspections and necessary repairs are carried out before vehicle delivery to clients.
– Deliver & maintain high standards of vehicle handover to clients.
– Deal promptly and efficiently with any queries or complaints.

– Follow-up all vehicle deliveries within 3 days of delivery and ensure customer satisfaction as well as reports

3. MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS:
– Assist with showroom traffic, display and housekeeping.

– Participate wholeheartedly in special promotional events.

4. FINANCE:
– Prepare quotations & obtain the Sales Manager’s approval.
– Obtain the Sales Manager’s approval for appraisals on trade-ins.

– Obtain Sales Manager’s approval for finance and discounts.

5. ADMINISTRATION:
– Attend, in an efficient way, to all documentation required for the sale and delivery of vehicles, e.g. owner’s documents, I.D, trade-in papers, O.T.P, valuation sheets.
– Maintain a prospecting system for future business.
– Keep up-to-date records of client’s details, requirements and statistics, e.g. frequency of fleet replacements.
– Update all progress records of transactions in hand or projected.
– Maintain daily records of work done, e.g. enquiries, follow-ups, etc.

– Write up the commission sheet and hand it over to the Sales Manager at the end of the month.

6. STOCKING:
– Consult with the Sales Manager with reference to sourcing stock for client’s requirements.
– Assist with the collection of vehicles from / to dealerships, dealers, suppliers.

– Inspect new stock for defects / damages and missing accessories / parts.

7. ASSET CONTROL:
– Ensure the confidentiality of the information regarding the clients, bearing in mind that existing and prospective clients’ lists are dealership property.

– Ensure showroom is secured at all times.

SALARY BREAKDOWN:

BASIC SALARY – R20 000.00 PM
