The Impossible Made Possible

We are so proud to be able to promote Dealerships with strong, dedicated females in leadership roles. At Barloworld Mazda Bruma, Dealer Principal Nobuhle Mthembu, looks forward to showcasing the excellent product range to you this 2019. Upholding an ethos of hard work and determination, Nobuhle wants to make sure you are also able to follow your dreams and drive a brilliant vehicle such as the Mazda 3.

The Concept:

The Mazda 3 Sedan and Hatchback is Mazda’s beautiful contribution to the mid-level Hatch and Sedan market. Comfortable and able to truly perform, this is a versatile vehicle for the whole family or professional.

The Looks:

Focusing on the Hatchback Mazda 3 this month, the big, bold grille is still the defining characteristic on the new fleet. We love the way it conveys attitude and an eagerness to perform, and the smooth, languid lines along the side invite you to the thinking that the vehicle moves with effortless grace. The rear is modern and fresh, and this Hatchback variant also has a sense of cheekiness about it.

The Feel:

Two things stand out when driving the Mazda 3 – firstly, the sense of calm and peace-of-mind knowing that the technology surrounding you is reliable and trustworthy, as well as wonder at the refreshed Mazda feeling – so much more comfortable, spacious and up-market than I had originally imagined, the Mazda 3 really touches on the more luxurious.

The Features:

As temperatures soar these past few weeks, the Mazda 3 will keep you cool – with ambient temperature display, air con and electric windows, your comfort is prioritised. Steering wheel, handbrake and gear knob are leather wrapped in the 1.6 Dynamic variant to match the all leather interior. The vehicle starts at the push of a button and your audio needs are met with Bluetooth connectivity to keep your hands free whilst driving and making/receiving calls. Driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags are standard, as well as ABS, EBD, ESP and Emergency Brake Assist.

The Drive:

The 1.6 Dynamic variant I took for a spin proved to be quite exceptional. Very agile and responsive at take-off, there was ample power to accelerate smoothly and rapidly overtake when needed. The engine has clearly been expertly refined, and although it is available in a 4-speed automatic, I loved the ability to engage through manual gears with ease. The Mazda 3 has a proper sedan-like feel when driven, with big, comfortable interior space and an assertive manoeuvrability that I loved.

The Score:

Mazda continues to impress, and the Mazda 3 is no different. We give it a score of 8.5 crowns out of 10.
